  • What takes place during a massage therapy treatment?
    A typical appointment will include an interview and assessment to determine the predominent areas of focus. Treatment may be done directly on the skin or through clothes, sometimes laying down and sometimes seated. If it is required that you remove some clothing, you will be modestly draped the entire time. Your therapist will ensure clear communication throughout the entire treatment and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.
  • What conditions can be treated with massage therapy?
    With all the different modalties available, massage therapy can treat and manage many different types of conditions some of which may include: Low back pain Neck pain Digestive issues Chronic pain TMJD Headaches Whiplash Sciatica Frozen shoulder Postural compensations Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Fibromyalgia Sports injuries Post MVA sypmtoms
  • What should I wear?
    Loose comfortable clothing such as workout gear is ideal.
  • Does my extended health care plan cover massage therapy?
    Most extended health care insurers cover 75-100% of the treatment fees. The patient should check directly with their insurance provider to find out exactly what they are covered for.
  • Do I need a doctor's referral?
    No. Anyone can come for massage therapy although some extended health plans may require an annual refferal from their doctor.
